I’m going to upgrade my desktop computer for a digital humanities project next year. Will essentially be developing database-driven web apps (probably MySQL, PHP, Apache) and some JAVA-based visualization tools. If I have time, I might even do some 3D modeling or animation.
I need a stable system with plenty of processing power and really good (and stable) graphics. Any recommendations for a motherboard with SATA RAID support, processor(s), and graphics card that will handle all of this with stability?
