Recommend Some KDE Customizations!!

Hey guys! Some of you may have read my post from a few days ago about what I wanted my final install of openSuse 11.3 to be, and I had chosen Gnome. Well, after a few days, I got bored with it again since I’ve done so much with it on other Distros, so I installed openSuse 11.3 with KDE last night lol. (Reinstalling Linux distros is just so much fun lol).

Anyways, I’m currently running my KDE 4.4 Suse desktop and would like to know what some of you guys have for customizations. I’d like to make my computer real nice with cool themes, icons, widgets and whatever else I can change.

So please, just respond to this thread if you have done any customizations, simple or complex, and let us know how you like it and possibly how you did it! I’d love to hear all of your guys’ feedback and look forward to all of the responses. I appreciate all of your time!

Thanks, and you guys all have a wonderful day.

I added the mini applet Weather. Found in kweather.

I use the folder view but only for applications which I normally want to open directly and I have reduced this to fit the eight applications I regularly use.

I have added to the panel things like the KCalc, Kate, K3b and trash which are utilities. I have changed the time/date display and got rid of the leave/lock buttons as these are available at a right click. I have changed the wallpaper and added a picture frame with a family photo to my personal desktop.

I have set Konqueror as my file manager in System settings>Default applications, changed the priority of several applications in System settings>Advanced>File associations and added user photos to the login screen with System settings>Advanced>Login manager>Users.
