Since starting that topic, I now realize I can likely easily use network manager to connect to a VPN (albeit I have yet to do so).

I am considering Express VPN. I have a friend who is using IPVanish and thus far he has noted he is happy using that. I also know people using Private Internet Access (PIA) and Strong VPN.
