Hello,

recommended that application to display temperatures and fans, and to create security alerts and turn off the pc for the kde desktop?

I like gkrellm. It’s a full featured monitor and does include mail alerts, although I’m not sure what you have in mind by “create security alerts.” I’m assuming you’ve configured lm_sensors.

There are also some Plasmoids. Start Yast Softwaremanager and search for “plasmo”.

You might also like to try KSensors, though I also like Gkrellm better.

If you want to turn off the pc on danger, you need a daemon, not a kde app.
