realtek RTL8168C(P)

I am running openSUSE 11 64 bit.

I cannot get my wireless on my new HP Pavilion Elite m9340f

The ethernet and wireless is on the same card.

The card is a Realtek RTL8168C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC

In YaST2 Network Card Setup, the card is being listed only as a Ethernet card.

I would appreciate any help.[/size]

You do not see the wireless because there is not a built-in driver.

There is a report on the Ubuntu Forum that the RT2860 driver from works.

Good luck,

I am running SUSE 10.3 64bit and have a giga-byte ga-945gcm motherboard with a realtek 8111C ethernet chip, Suse installs the r8169 module but Realtek specify the r8168 module. After much reading and many failed attempts to install this module using tar balls, I found this link to a rpm source
I downloaded for my 64bit system and left clicked on this file and install with YAST.
As root, in a terminal
insmod lib/modules/
to install r8168
and to stop running r8169, edit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
by adding blacklist r8169

Please NOTE
You will have to change the download directory for SUSE 11

Can you provide the complete url? The link is broken.
