Hello, I have recently installed opensuse 11 64 bit. The only problem I am having so far is that when I try to play any multichannel videos (5.1 surround) everything come out wrong. The center speaker is outputting my rear audio and left rear speaker is outputting the center channel audio. I am pretty sure this is a driver problem,. I am using the latest alsa driver with the kmixer for configuration. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you checked here

Are you sure you did not just mix up the speaker cables try
speaker-test -D surround51 -c 6 -t wav in a console
You could also install the program xchat, and then run it, logging on to IRC and select “freenode” and IRC channel #alsa and ask there. There are some very knowledgeable sound guru’s there who can likely sort you in minutes.
But you may need to try logging in at different times of the day, and asking at different times, as they live in different parts of the world, and as volunteers are not available all the time.
