Realtek 8192cu not working after install

Well, I didn’t want to insult your skills, sorry… :wink:

I’m just trying to find out what is really necessary, it might help people with similar problems.

Ah wait, the 8192cu-disable-power-management.conf cannot work as-is with the in-kernel rtl8192cu driver at all, as it only specifies options for the “8192cu” driver. I overlooked that somehow, sorry.
You’d have to replace “8192cu” with “rtl8192cu” (i.e. the name of the standard driver) of course.

But I just had a look, and the “rtl8192cu” driver doesn’t support those options at all. So it is not even worth a try… :\

So let’s just hope that they try to “upstream” their fixes to the in-kernel driver (or this gets fixed there independently)…
