I’ve been trying to update my Opensuse 11.0 to be a DAW via these instructions: JackLab/3 Ste…or Beginners 2 - openSUSE
However, upon installing the realtime kernel, I cannot get a GUI, I just get the command line. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have an Nvidia 7300 Geforce.

Can you start a gui? If not, what are the errors in the xorg log. I would guess you are using a proprietary video card and haven’t rebuilt the modules. Also, the proprietary drivers might not work with the realtime kernel even if rebuilt. Try using the radeon or radeonhd driver if you have an ati card and the nv or nouveau driver if nvidia.
