Read-Only file system in Emergency Mode

Changed fstab and forgot to create mount points … now boots to Emergency Mode … giving root password for Maintenance only allows READ ONLY??? Cannot switch fstabs!!!

So i have been here many times before but never with READ ONLY?? What gives?

PS: Brand new install of 42.2

Remount it rw.

If you are using ext4, it would be simple; mount -o remount,rw /
