12.1 RC1 is UNRELEASED software…that is, it is NOT ready for prime
time…it is not for “newbies” (as you call yourself)…it is for
software testers able to work through problems and then report bugs found…
install 11.4, or wait for 12.1 to be released and do a full format
install (sure hope you have all your data backed up!)
if you wish to continue TESTING 12.1 RC 1, it is discussed only in
http://tinyurl.com/2du7r4s and discussions there are not for the purpose
of “fixing” your broken KDE, but rather why is it broken and what bug
needs to be reported…
you may wish to seek other opinions there, not here…
