I doubt that mounting partitions belongs in Applications.
But just a FYI for anyone considering this.
Uness you have a <very> large amount of unused RAM, consider that by default most download apps store the incomplete download in progress in /tmp.
So, if for example you only have 4GB of RAM and your system is already using 2200MB or so (very typical) with normal use, that means that the max file you can download is only a 2600MB (probably a lot less). There are plenty of downloads that exceed 2600MB.
If your system has more RAM (eg 16GB), then the file download size limitation will be much higher, but it’s still there.
On a standard 12.3 install /tmp is simply part of the root partition on disk so there is almost no practical size limitation.
Only a few download apps are not affected by this, bittorrent apps for example store all the individual pieces on disk and not in /tmp.

True.
We would like/need to have an hybrid type of tmpfs, that used ram for
small files, overflowing to disk as needed. Not exactly swap. Rather a
dedicated long term cache.
