I have 12.3 (64-bit) running on my Lenovo W520 laptop with the BIOS hard set to Discrete video and UEFI only. When I’ve attempted to boot the M4 and RC1 DVD they both hang.
Any suggestions?
That’s bug 841426. Or maybe not. I did not have any problems with M4. But Beta1 and RC1 both have problems with UEFI.
Some computers can boot the DVD if secure-boot is disabled. Other computers don’t even work with secure-boot disabled. I was lucky – my box boots with secure-boot disabled. However, I did not install RC1 on my UEFI box. If the problems are fixed by RC2, I’ll install then.
