There are some changed behaviour that really annoys me, how to change them back.
Login Screen, at least to key strokes needed before you can type a password. Before you could straight type now there is always a waiting time before you can type and I constantly need to reenter the password.
LibreOffice PDF Export, before it you create a document it would save the PDF alongside the open document file, now it is redirected to Download and I constantly need to place it to the file location.
KDE Plasma 6.3.4 The application starter stays open after clicking on the target application. So annoying. I did not find a button to switch this back.
Can me push someone to solve these isssues? Thanks
Checked again, instaed of a file from a USB stick now from
LibreOffice 25.2.2.2
/home/user/Documents/subdirectory//
when I either click the symbol next to the save symbol for direct export to PDF or STRFG-E or via FILE- direct export to PDF, it defaults for every file I am opening to
/home/user/Dokumente
And I does not change to last opened directory, this is slowing me down.
(Was not Download but the Dokumente directory."
On 3 different systems now.
uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 6.14.4-1-default #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Fri Apr 25 09:13:41 UTC 2025 (584fafa) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
As far as the LibreOffice PDF export goes, what you are describing is a bug that should be corrected in LibreOffice 25.2.3 (https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=165917) PDF exports to most recent directory, not to current directory.
I have found some complaints about that behaviour from 2016. Personally, I haven’t seen it on my setup, so I’m trying to make some sense out of it. You are referring to SDDM, right?
One other thing: could you show a screen shot of your last rant? What application starter stays open?
