Hello, I’m currently running Tumbleweed 20240305 (issue isn’t build specific). When I’m normally using my computer (for example playing GTA 5 through wine), computer randomly starts to lag too much, even I can’t move my mouse. Then it gets frozen completely.
User log has this, spa.loop errors started at the same time system froze.
I’m using proprietary NVIDIA drivers (G06). Also I’m on KDE, X11 session.
Could you try some other compatibility layer like Proton?
Users report success with Proton Experimental lately:
I was already using wine-ge, an alternative of Proton to be used outside Steam.
I updated my BIOS, also disabled memory-frequency related options. Now I’ll see if the issue got fixed or not.
Might want to check the output of sudo coredumpctl to see if any processes crashed.
