Ram problem?

I noticed that my computer was slow so I went to see the sysinfo on Konqueror and I noticed that after rebooting, this is the memory info I got:

Total memory (RAM): 2.0 GB
Free memory: 65.2 MB (+ 1.5 GB Caches)
Free swap: 5.9 GB

Is this normal? I also did a memory check using the openSUSE 11 DVD and I stopped it at 89% because the results were 0 Passed and 0 Errors! As if my ram didn’t exist.

EDIT: I rebooted again and now I get 1.3 GB of free memory. I still dont get 1.9GB which I used to get.

It could be normal depending on what you are running on your system. The caching memory is used to speed things up but should be released when a program needs it… 1.5 GB of cache is alot though.

Are you using anything specific like virtualization software or other?

No virtualization. Im running the default kernel. Then why is my computer slow. Example: After installing software in Yast, running the scripts takes about 2 min. It used to take ~20 secs! You can see my specs on my sig(my kernel was updated yesterday so my sig is not updated.)
