Hi,
I have a ATI Radeon 9250 and OpenSuse 11.2.
Should the default driver, RadeonHD 1.3, support OpenGL acceleration? I could not get it working.
The card is not very new and I thought it would be supported.
I have also an older Matrox G400 card.
OpenGL acceleration for it worked many Suse releases ago but not any more. ****!

I think you want the Radeon rather than RadeonHD driver for your card.
How to install it?
I tried to install x11-video-fglrxG01 from server www2.ati.com path /suse/11.1 but it failed.
There is no path /suse/11.2.
What more, I don’t have any XF86Congif file! Where is Sax2 saving its settings?
Currently I have The Matrox G400 installed. Still didn’t get OpenGL working for it either. I know it is possible to configure because it worked with some old Suse version (10.0 maybe).

The ATI Radeon 9250 isn’t supported by the ATI drivers that support OpenSuSE 1.2.
Try this for the legacy driver.
Thanks for the info. I hope it will be supported in future.
And oops, I found “xorg.conf”. I was writing in a hurry.
I guess nobody knows about the Matrox G400/G450 issue. I will continue searching.
