Hi, I’ve just installed OpenSuse 11.1 (32bits)
I’ve also installed the latest ati driver for my Radeon 4850 card, straight from the site (version 9.3)
After reboot, here is the result of my X11 session:

The white square is my cursor and it’s moveable. I can also alt+ctr+f1 my way out of it and I can do init 3.
Is this a known issue? How can I fix that?
My guess is that my screen is not detected well.

Looks like a sync problem.
ctrl+alt+Fx to a terminal and do an init 3.
Login as root and run sax2 and configure and test the xserver.
