Questions on Participation

I am interested in becoming an active participant in the openSUSE project.

However, I have a few questions:

1. Where do I submit code to be (hopefully) accepted into openSUSE?
2. Should my efforts be directed to Factory? Or, will my code go upstream from, say 12.1, to Factory?
3. Is development channeled through the OBS?
4. Is the procedure for submitting a feature the same as a fix?
5. Does my work need to go through a system or through individuals? Both, perhaps?
