I had installed Thunderbird 3.0 and was trying to install 2.0 i canceled it out because it was asking about conflict and asked to go on and cancel i told it to cancel that will not hurt the system to where i need to reload would it.? How do you normally destroy a Linux os to have to reload. Dont want to accidentally do it learning what not to do.
I moved this post to applications, in the hope it will get a better answer. It was inappropriately posted in the wrong area.

Forgive me, I’m a little late to this thread but one option may be to re-
partition the machine to leave a minimal linux partition and set the boot
loader to default to your desired OS with a timeout of .01 seconds or other
similar minimal setting. True, it wouldn’t get completely rid of the linux
system but it’d be pretty close.
I’ve never had to do it myself but I’d had to that’d be my approach.
