Ok so I have posted this question also in the Hardware section. Because I thought that this question was Hardware related. If ANYONE at all can help me it will be appreciated.
I just bought a Linksys Wireless N Broadband Router and now I want to get it setup. Now with Linux I know it’s different than (just say) installing the Software in Windows XP. But I want to set it up with Linux so I can use Wireless on my devices (and for a Future notebook). Just trying to figure it how with Linux.

Are you sure the problem is in the router and not in your wireless cards. Many, many people are having trouble with wireless. I recently installed a dlink wireless N router and it worked out of the box.
By that I mean I have 2 computers connected to the router via ethernet. I have an XP pc connected via wireless N usb. I have two laptops with internal wireless cards (G not N) that work both under suse and windows. I have one suse pc that I cannot get to connect via either wireless card or usb.
In the beginning, I had trouble with networkmanager that kept me from connecting. But, the router itself gives no problems.
Well, I don’t have any Wireless Cards just the Linksys Wireless Router. My Nintendo DS has Wifi and can see the wireless connection; however, it can’t connect to it. I don’t have a Laptop (Notebook). I keep having problems getting the router to connect to the net. It came with a CD to install; however I guess the Installation CD is only strictly for Windows or I’m not doing something right. So I guess my goal is to find a way to get the thing to install for Linux.
Can you reach the router’s web interface? If so, look at every screen to see if there is an obvious error. Pardon me if these examples are too simplistic for you, but they happened to me at one time or another:
Is the router’s ip address different than your old router? Mine was and it caused me problems. For example, your equipment might be looking for the old default gateway.
Could the encryption scheme be different?
Is there something proprietary going on with your Nintendo? My tivo won’t let me onto my network with the encryption the new router uses unless I buy the network adapter from tivo.
If your fingers are as big and clumsy as mine, it is not impossible that you hit the switch on either the router or the modem that shuts off the internet. Power cycling the modem often helps, even if the internet switch has not changed.
Is the router working with windows? Because it is possible that the router is bad even though its brand new.
Did you try to manually load your ISP’s DNS server? Some ISP’s are picky about that. The right server might have been set up in the old router and not the new.
That’s it. I’m out of ideas.
Actually I just called Linksys Tech Support and the guy there took me through step by step on what I was doing. And in doing that I can finally connect through my Router and get wireless for my DS. So Problem Solved
