Sorry for the effects obscuring the image, but you can still read it.
I am hesitant to uninstall either my NVIDIA driver or ndiswrapper, because both wireless networking and the video driver were a bit of a pain and I am a novice at Linux, so I’m worried about screwing things up that I won’t be able to fix.

there is the belief that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it so 1st question
is will a new kernel benefit you and if not why upgrade. Seems you dl
your nvidia drivers from a repo and that repo doesn’t have rpm’s to
match the new kernel, an ongoing issue with nvidia drivers and why I
compile my own. If you have an interest in learning how to compile them
I’d suggest doing it before you upgrade your kernel because there’s
still the rpm’s to fall back on, you would probably first want to remove
the nvidia rpm’s.
Good question. The details in the updater says it fixes numerous bugs. I just assumed the newest kernel would be preferably. I have experienced no problems with my current install however. You’re probably right in that there’s no compelling reason to upgrade. I’m not really interested in learning to compile my own nvidia drivers, but I do appreciate the offer.
