Question about network installation

So I just realized openSUSE 12.1 was released. I want to finally give it a try, but I’d like to try the network installation this time. But i have a couple of doubts before going on.

Do Network and DVD options intall exactly the same packages, or the DVD installs more stuff than Network?
Also, is there a suggested way to make the Network installer boot from a USB, or should I just use Unebootin?

Any help very appreciated. Thank you.

You get access to the same repos so you will get the same software for a given choice of patterns.

I’m sure the Net CD image can be booted off USB in various ways as it’s a normal bootable CD, but I haven’t had to do this, I just booted off the CD.

I’ll concur with ken_yap. It is pretty much the same install from network or DVD.

You should be able to put on a USB, but I think you need to first run the command “isohybrid” on it. See the section “Bootable USB from DVD or Net Install” on this page: SDB:Live USB stick - openSUSE
