Question about aeon/kalpa updates

Hi,
My question is basically this: because aeon/kalpa are based on tumbleweed, they receive system updated at the same time as regular tumbleweed? Let’s say that a new kernel version or gnome 46 drops in tumbleweed tomorrow, in the next week it will be in aeon also or the releases are more sparse?

Thanks in advance

Yes AFAIK it will, transactional-update will ofc do updates instead of zypper dup.

@nament is correct. MicroOS, depending on the upstream base (TW or Leap) uses the exact sames repos as the upstream:

Hopefully in the future with Suse’s ALP project, we will see a single distro with multiple roles and update intervals, much like the system roles (desktop, server, transactional server) available now but with the added option of choosing how fast/slow the packages roll.

MicroOS, Aeon and Kalpa track Tumbleweed and pull from the same repositories, if Tumbleweed is getting an update, to the Kernel, for instance, all three of them will get that kernel at the same time.
