qt.svg: Could not create image from "/media/250gb/valokuvat/Syksy...

I’m trying to determine whether a message in my desktop machine’s journal is due to something I’ve done. I recently noticed the following journal entries:

Now that I’m aware of them, journalctl reveals these messages are in my logs all the way back to 2020.

Are any other KDE tumbleweed users seeing these?

No idea about the problem but how on earth have you ended up in Kuusamo if you live in NZ

My suspicion is that qt.svg (or something that uses it) has some hard coded or default values that have slipped through from the developer. Qt is developed in Finland, so my guess would be some Qt library or supporting file.

The executables reporting the error include plasmashell, kmenuedit, khelpcenter, krunner, since the start of the year the counts are:
plasmashell 6868
kwin_x11 3578
kmenuedit 54
khelpcenter 12
krunner 6

I’ve grep’ed every file in /usr/ and /home, perhaps it’s not encoded in ASCII or is compressed.

If I’m the only one seeing these errors, it may be due to some kruft my system/login has accumulated in recent years. But if others are also seeing this, I might raise a bug.

There are lots of similar messages from plasmashell:

Not seeing any of the “… Could not create image from …” type of message on either of my TW systems, the only messages related to “qt.svg” are of the type “… Could not add child element …” as shown in @karlmistelberger’s post #4.

If one google’s for “Could not create image from /media/250gb/valokuvat/Syksy” there are no hits, so I suspect, perhaps, you may be alone in seeing this; or alternatively, nobody else has noticed…

Thanks for looking.

I may have installed a theme or application that is not in common use. I’ll put this one aside for now.
