I thought that exists only on Windows?
The qt command prompt is nothing but the standard cmd.exe with a few
paths preset in environment variables.

What do you need it for?

PC: oS 12.2 x86_64 | i7-2600@3.40GHz | 16GB | KDE 4.10.1 | GTX 650 Ti
ThinkPad E320: oS 12.2 x86_64 | i3@2.30GHz | 8GB | KDE 4.10.1 | HD 3000

I want to create a static executable file in QT, and I need the QT command prompt to configure and compile the code

I never did that or plan to do it, but isn’t that just passing the
-static option to the ./configure script in your Qt SDK installation?

Sorry I cannot help directly with that.
