Quick Question: Does a graphical solution exist on/for OpenSuse to edit cron jobs easily? If so, which do you recommend?
i know of none in the openSUSE repos…wait:
use YaST and search on cron…here i see a kde4-kcron (a “cron job
configuration tool … KCron allo2ws you to change your cron jobs setup.”
maybe it works, maybe not (i use, and would recommend something like
kate or kwrite launched with root powers [kdesu kwrite])
google turns up several potentials with a search on “crontab manager”
i’ve not looked at any of them…[before you could get one installed
you could be done with kate/etc, but ymmv]

Gedit in Gnome and Kwrite in KDE are great graphical editors, I use them to adjust the crontable. If you don’t use KDE or Gnome, Leafpad is a great graphical editor too.
Thanks for replying. KWRITE is the simple solution, KCron the most comfortable.
