QEMU/KVM crashes when installing Leap 16.0 guest

I’m trying to install a Leap 16.0 guest with 3d acceleration, so the pertinent qemu options are:

-vga none
-device virtio-vga-gl
-display gtk,gl=on,show-cursor=on \

Leap 16.0 online ISO boots well, I select GNOME desktop, it finishes installing packages, but when going to step 3 “Configuring system” QEMU always crashes at this point. The error in console is:

Assertion 0 && “Couldn’t find current GLX or EGL context.”

Google IA, among other things, suggested mainly to change display to SDL, but for me the option -display sdl is not available, so I can’t test it.

If trying other video driver such as qxl installer finishes without further problems, but I’d like 3d acceleration on the guest.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

Just in case the following reference is helpful here…
https://www.qemu.org/docs/master/system/invocation.html#hxtool-3

What does the following command report?
qemu-system-x86_64 -display help

Also run
https://www.qemu.org/docs/master/system/invocation.html#hxtool-0
qemu-system-x86_64 --version
and
zypper se -si qemu virgl mesa gtk

That information might help others to advise further.

Thanks.
