Q45 Graphic driver support to openSUSE 10.2

Sir,
The platform I used is Intel Q45 chipset.
But my customer insist on openSUSE version 10.2.
The problem I met is that I cannot get any graphic driver for Q45 chipset upon openSUSE 10.2 developing.

Does anyone support me please:( ?

thanks
Rick

openSUSE 10.2 is out of support since November 30th 2008, there MAY be
driver support here in one of the OLD repos, here:
http://ftp.tu-ilmenau.de/Mirrors/ftp.suse.com/update/

but, you are pretty much on you own…well, check back here because
their may be some with help still in their heads…and, you can
dragnet the forum/mail list archives using google with the site
specifier…maybe like

site:opensuse.org Intel Q45 graphics driver

good luck…oh, are you sure it is openSUSE 10.2 or SLED 10 SP2, check

cat /etc/SuSE-release
or
cat /etc/issue

to be sure…if SLED hop to forums.novell.com

I am using openSUSE 10.2, not SLED.
Well, I will go searching it.

thanks
Rick

Do yourself a favor, download 11.2, install it. The card may very well be working out of the box. A search for solutions for 10.2 will take much longer. Better look for assistance here on the 11.2 install; if you installed 10.2 properly you should be able to reuse the 10.2 partitions, except for the “/” one.

Is there any chance that you could convince your customer to pay you to set up a sandbox PC, and do a brief test with 11.1 or 11.2 to prove it works? I suspect the customer’s problem here may be some software that runs with 10.2, but not with 10.3 or 11.x ?
