Hi!
Recently, when trying to zypper-dup, I found this problem:

Computing distribution upgrade...
2 Problems:
Problem: python3-openshot-0.2.3+333-1.4.x86_64 requires python(abi) = 3.7, but this requirement cannot be provided
Problem: libreoffice-pyuno-6.4.2.1-1.2.x86_64 requires python(abi) = 3.8, but this requirement cannot be provided

Problem: python3-openshot-0.2.3+333-1.4.x86_64 requires python(abi) = 3.7, but this requirement cannot be provided
  deleted providers: python3-base-3.7.3-1.4.x86_64
 Solution 1: deinstallation of python3-openshot-0.2.3+333-1.4.x86_64
 Solution 2: keep obsolete python3-base-3.7.3-1.4.x86_64
 Solution 3: break python3-openshot-0.2.3+333-1.4.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

I have tried suggested solutions 1 and 2 but they keep showing successive problems. The repositories I’m using are:

I did zypper clean and zypper refresh, and I was wondering what else I could do to proceed with the dup, or whether I should rather wait.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion you can kindly provide.

Hi
You need to accept the de-installation of any 3.7 built packages as Tumbleweed has moved to Python 3.8.

Select solution 1, then should be able to re-install python3-openshot as you need to let it get rid of any python3-base-3.7 dependencies.

Hi,

I got the same messages, for me the first one is with pgAdmin4 (and the 2nd one for LibreOffice too). I’m sure the latter won’t be a problem, but how can I know wether there will be a version of pgagmin4 running with python 3.8 ? I really need it. And, as from this post, success doesn’t seem to be really guaranteed…

Thank you! That worked for the dup, however I lost openshot. I’ll be looking forward to its return.

It has been updated and rebuilt, just needs to make it’s way through openQA into the release…
