PureVPN Activates as if connected to remote address but public IP address remains local

PureVPN has worked previously when connecting to UK server but recently it has shown activated but the public IP address remains local. The configurations are made in NetworkManager and a new one has been added (to see if the existing had changed somehow) but it does not work either.

The log file does not display any apparent errors but an experienced eye might see differently. Also, suggestions are welcomed on what could be explored to find what is wrong.

Did you try any other server? Also, is the IP completely not changing?

You’d have to be more clear how you’re determining your public IP address… In an application someone wrote? If this app is not a common *NIX tool, do you know how it’s supposed to work?

  • Did you do a “route trace” to display every hop from your machine to a remote destination?
