Is there any thing that supports nano second synchronization between two PC’s?
I know ptpd, but I realized that it is not the exact functionality that it is providing in Opensuse 42.2 leap now.
I want the system clock to be synchronized.
Any help appreciated.
ptpd is in the regular OSS repo.
Any reason why you wouldn’t want to use it, just make sure your machines are pointing to the same Time Server?
(For synchronization only purposes and not necessarily true time, you could even set up one machine as the time server and configure the other as a client to minimize any network latency).
I tried installing PTPD using zypper and also cross checked it with Yast->Software Management.
When I try to run the command ptpd in my konsole, It says that the command is not found.
I also removed the ntpd synchronization, which is available by default in 42.2 Leap (thought that it is blocking PTPD).
Yes, I am looking for synchronization. Could you please provide me the details for this
