I have many files [35000] that are on my Windows 11 laptop that I want to transfer to my openSuse main PC.
I have a 500 GB nvme SSD [in an external case] that I will use to transfer these files.
What is the best file format to use [on the 500 GB SSD] in order to transfer the files from Windows to the SSD and then to the openSuse OS?
So that I have no problems in openSuse “seeing” the files.
I have checked the “similar” posts but none seem current or appropriate.

It’s been a long time since I’ve done such a thing, but I believe exfat will work fine for that, and windows won’t have any particular issue reading/writing to it.
