proper application+setting for *.flv to PSP

Hi all!
My PSP’s driving me crazy, crazy and mad… >:(
So… It’s a PSP-1004 with 6.60fw.

I have a lot of *.flv files that I’d like to proper convert to a readable format for my PSP. Surfin’ the web gives me only a lot of headaches 'cause everyone uses “his” program with it’s settings and its path to save videos to PSP Memory Stick.
What I need is a program that supports batch conversion 'cause I’ve got old and slow hardware: so to convert videos during night. It’s so frustrating to wake up - have so little time - and see that the looong night work has been useless.
There’s too much confusion and the vast majority of discussions are Windows (1st) and Ubuntu (last) related.
I am using openSUSE x86_64 12.2.9 (2012-10-22) KDE.

Hi
I use handbrake (packman repo) to convert media files (it does flv), it
also has batch mode.

Thanks, I found Handbrake, but I can’t get proper settings to convert the flv into a readable format for my PSP. Anyone else here knows how to get it working?
Theese are the specs of a file provided by Sony that’s obviously working

<p>
From one of the Videolan devs, suggest you use ffmpeg (from the videolan repo), create a file, eg ps3.sh;</p>
<p>

</p>

Hi
From one of the Videolan devs, suggest you use ffmpeg (from the
videolan repo), create a file, eg ps3.sh;

#!/usr/bin/sh
ffmpeg -strict -2 -i "$1" -r 23.98 -vcodec libx264 -acodec libfaac -b:v 15M-ab 224K -mbd rd -cmp 2 -subcmp 2 -level 41 -bf 3 -qmin 10 "$2"

then run

ps3.sh input_file ouput_file

On the nntp side, I got your post duplicated: one with html tags, and
another plain text (5 minutes earlier). Was this your doing, or is it
the gateway?

Hi
Webside and chromium issues… I did nuke it, but you must have synced
before it was removed…

or maybe a local problem (on your computer, or with your ISP, or the way
you collect for off-line reading, maybe)…

i say that because here, working with Thunderbird on-line i got only
one copy of Malcolm’s post, with no html

strange.

dd

Your suggestion gave me no results… Neither with Handbrake I could get working conversion :cry:

Ah.

Yes, as I have a local cache with a timeout of months, if a version gets
published, I download it, and then it is changed and published, I then
get both.

I have no idea how to force leafnode to do a full resync. Actually I do,
but it would also force Thunderbird to redo its index, and I would lose
the entire list of read marks. And it is thousands of posts to keep
track of…
