Projected version of systemd in 12.3?

Haven’t found anything discussed or definiteve…

Was wondering

  • What is the current version of systemd in 12.3 Beta1? (Sorry, I’m not quite ready to trial 12.3 yet so hoping someone is able to post this tidbit of info)

  • Has a decision yet been made to lock in a version of systemd for 12.3 or are we still too far out as of today?

FYI -
To display the version of systemd on any system, you can run the following (currently on 12.2, the version is 44 although I believe Fedora may be close to 200).

# systemctl --version

Only need one person to post… unless someone finds their system is more current than what is already posted.

Thx,
TSU

My 12.3 Beta1 system shows:

finger@larrylap:~> systemctl --version
systemd 195
suse
+PAM +LIBWRAP +AUDIT +SELINUX +IMA +SYSVINIT +LIBCRYPTSETUP +GCRYPT +ACL +XZ
finger@larrylap:~>

As 12.3 is in feature freeze, it is not likely that the final version will be
much newer.

versions for 12.3 are locked (see
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2013-01/msg00333.html)

their may be some version creep yet, but each will be after full
attention to the good reason to do so…

i guess you could down a Beta 1 Live CD, boot from it and using its
YaST Software Management learn what version systemd is installed…and,
be reasonable certain that is what will be in the final…

Cool.
Version 195 should capture practically all new features and improvements blogged by the systemd authors as of today (beginning Feb 2013).
That’s exciting and a true revolution how Linux works “under the hood.”
