Programs manager window is black into package information frame

I’ve installed a fresh OpenSuse 12.1 x64 on a VAIO VPCS12L9E (graphic card GeForce310M) with nouveau driver and XFCE.

Everything works well but when I open Yast -> Programs Manager the application presents some black and unreadible parts into package information frame that makes the application hard to use.

Here is a screenshot:

Any suggestion to solve the problem?

Davide

This is not really a solution (and I am not a XFCE user) but maybe worth
a try.
When you switch to the qt interface for yast, does it look more readable?

Try the qt (kde) software manager: “yast2 --qt sw_single &”.

Using qt sw_single interface is readable. It’s a good workaround.
But I’m used with gtk.
Any suggestion to solve the issue? Is it a bug?

I doubt that it is really a bug, it is more likely a not so very well
chosen gtk theme for the root account.
Sorry, no idea how to change that, wait for a xfce user to join here.

you might be able to get rid of the black mass by turning off desktop
effects (hmmmm, i actually do not know if those are available in
xfce–sorry)…or, maybe by choosing a different video driver…
