Not sure i this is the right forum - my apologies if not.
I installed Opencpn ver OpenCPN-4.x-4.2.0-1.1.x86_64 but when I try to run it, it never opens. There are no log files created created either. The good folks in the OpenCPN forum were unsuccessful in resolving this so I come to you. Please help.
Run from the command line a see if there are any errors reported

Where did you get the package?

Go to “software.opensuse.org” and do a package search. When I checked earlier today, there was a version there that somebody had built for 42.1, so there’s a good chance that will work for you.

Repo version is OpenCPN-2.5.0-3.1.x86_64.rpm, committed “almost 3 years ago”, although built for LEAP last February, apparently.
Apparently version 3.0.2 couldn’t be build (all builds are disabled in https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?project=home%3Asteffenp&package=OpenCPN), so perhaps 2.5 is the last “compatible” version.
Works here on 13.2 , but I had to switch all wxwidgets to the Version from that Repo.
