aloha !!! i have a core quad 9550 with 4giiga memory and a velociraptor and i am running some scripts ont the terminal on the opensuse 11.2 and it seems is useing and 4 threads on my cpu and i have a a lug on the pc, also i am using kde ???(sorry if my english aren’t so well)

it seems that when i am running a shell script (taught) is useing all the cpu cores and my system i slowing down all little bit(

That will be the script doing this. It’s still not clear what the question is. Can you post the contents of the script?

everything you load the cpu with WILL slow the system…if you load it
enough it will slow the system so much it can’t be used and the only
remedy is to add cores and RAM…that is normal…

just like a big truck (4 CPUs) can only carry more than a little one
(1 CPU)…but, even a REALLY big truck (16 CPUs) can only carry so
much…give it too big a load and it can’t move…

I still don’t see the problem.

What does your script, can you post it? Anything you run will have an
effect on the computer, that’s obvious.
