Problems with opera browser

After today’s Tumbleweed update, opera fails to play youtube videos.

The error in the Youtube screen is: “An error occurred. Please try again later.”

Running opera from the command line gives this output:

[101:117:0702/151656.763208:ERROR:render_media_log.cc(34)] MediaEvent: MEDIA_ERROR_LOG_ENTRY {"error":"audio decoder initialization failed"}
[101:101:0702/151656.779773:ERROR:render_media_log.cc(34)] MediaEvent: PIPELINE_ERROR DECODER_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED
[101:117:0702/151657.147157:ERROR:render_media_log.cc(34)] MediaEvent: MEDIA_ERROR_LOG_ENTRY {"error":"audio decoder initialization failed"}
[101:101:0702/151657.150100:ERROR:render_media_log.cc(34)] MediaEvent: PIPELINE_ERROR DECODER_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED

Any ideas about a fix?

YouTube likely changed something relatEd to a popular audio codec,
Same thing is being reported in chromium and I’d suspect affects other web browsers.

I expect that this is being fixed somewhere, but assuming that you installed Opera from openSUSE, if you feel better about it you should submit a bug at https://bugzilla.opensuse.org to be certain it’s being brought to someone’s attention.
