I just did an install of OpenSuSE 11.0 on an IBM T41 laptop. When I got to the end of the install, I attempted to click on the checkbox for “Clone this system for AutoYaST”, but couldn’t check it! I also tabbed through the options, but couldn’t select it.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a known issue, or was there something I had to do at the beginning of the installation to get this to work?
Same for me on HP dx2200 machines. I’ve done 12 installations today just to get that autoyast.xml file. Now I realise my computers would have been installed if I’d installed them one by one in this time.
Seeing this question was made more than a month ago, the issue might not still be relevant.
However, I had the same problem recently and found out that for the check box for “Clone this system for AutoYaST” to be active, autoyast2 has to be selected manually among the packages to be installed when doing the initial software setup.
Kind of makes sense but a user should not have do to that manually.
Can’t remember if this was an issue in previous releases.
