Problems starting apache after installing subversion-server

Hi,

I’ve installed subversion-server-1.6.17-32.1 from software.opensuse.org: Download openSUSE 11.4 into sles 10 r 2

When I try to start (or do apache2ctl configtest) I get:

Cannot load /usr/lib/apache2/mod_authz_svn.so into server: /usr/lib/libsvn_subr-1.so.0: undefined symbol: apr_memcache_add_server

I’m using the version of apache that comes with sles. An ideas of how to fix this?

Thanks.

Hello greekman123, welcome to the openSUSE forums.

You probably broke your system. openSUSE packages are not meant to work on SLES. I hope that someone comes up with a good idea how to fix this. Probably you have to uninstall subversion-server and re-install apache. But wait for some good advice coming up here before doing any actions or changes.

and/or also post to the SLES forums over at http://tinyurl.com/422mrnu

not running you off, just the ‘real’ SUSE Linux Enterprise gurus are
over there…here we are openSUSE users helping users…many here
(myself included) wouldn’t know a SLES from a . . . except to know the
two systems are different enough that there are two different repos
for a very good reason…]
