We have a new server with an Adaptec ASC-1405. There is the server details:
Super Micro Computer, Inc. - Products | SuperServers | 1U | 6015B-TV / 6015B-TB
Up today, we never have any install problem with any kind of hardware and opensuse (since 10 up to 11.1). But with this server, the operating system doesn’t find any hard disk.
The bios can find one disk and up this point, all work without any problem. Then begins the openSUSE 11.1 DVD setup; we choose spanish keyboard, a “text only” install and any initial charge system works well and smoothly. But when passes the license agreement and lookup the hardware, appears a message indicating that no disk found in the system.
We try starting a Rescue System, but is the same. Also we try looking for the name’s driver into linux kernel into Internet, but with a very poor results.
Please, anybody could help me, please?
