I’m wondering if you guys could help me out?
I’ll start with the problem regarding booting, since i think the issues about shutting off and logging off are most likely separate.
When i boot my computer, i am greeted with a bunch of console text saying the following:
Ignoring bgrt invalid status 0. Expected 1
kvm disabled by bios
kvm disabled by bios
kvm disabled by bios
That’s not the exact thing it says, since it involves numbers next to a lot of the text, though i cannot remember them. I’m not sure how to find a log of this. However, if it would be helpful, let me know and i will try to find it, i just don’t know where to look.
The next problem i had, which i think is most likely unrelated to the first one, is an error i get whenever i log out, or even shutdown. It says something similar to the following:
"Plasma has closed unexpectedly"
Then i think it says something about reporting the problem, or ignoring it. Unfortunately, the computer always logs out/shuts off too quick before i get a chance to read it all. I’m not sure if it’s possible to find a log for this, but if it is, let me know how, and i will try to find it.
I am running Opensuse Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma 5.
Yes, I see this on logout or shutdown. The KDE crash reporter pops up, but then disappears as the logout proceeds.
For the moment, I’m just ignoring it. My assumption is that the KDE bugzilla probably already has reports on this. But I haven’t checked.
Also seeing this behaviour (since either the 20150708 or 20150712 update, not sure which)… plasma crashes, restarts, and the logout/shutdown completes.
Yes, i think i saw it on the bug page a few days ago. However, if my memory serves me right, it’s been on there since 2014.
Now I’m wondering if It’s affecting everyone in TBW, or just a few people, and if there might be any possible workarounds.
Hey, that worked!
Thank you for fixing my problem, i really appreciate it
I’m still a little confused about the ‘BGRT’’ part though. The kvm text is gone, but the other text is still there.
Do you happen to know if that part is possible to fix by any chance?
