Hi!
I recently updated my OpenSuse, from 11.3 to 11.4. When I reboot my computer after the upgrade, the “close”, “minimize” and “size” buttons just disapear!
Another problem is, when I start any aplication from the menu, the menu get blocked, I can minimize it, but I can choose another aplication.
I’m using KDE and compiz.
Any help?
Thanks!

Try to create a new user and see if the behavior is the same while logged as this new user.
Best regards,
Greg

Sounds like compiz problem.
You could try to do the following in the terminal.
compiz --replace
which restarts compiz.
I try with root user and it works properly. No compiz enable for root. How I can fix it?
Doesn’t work
Thanks!
Please try with a non root user and logging into KDE as root is highly not recommended because for one reason it’s much easier to compromise your PC while You’re logged in as root. It is also much easier to break something yourself when using root in KDE and You have to be very careful when You do this. Most people here including myself don’t log into KDE as root at all as it’s not needed.
Best regards,
Greg
You need to tell us what graphics card and graphics driver You’re using. Please post the output of the following command :
/sbin/lspci -nnk
Best regards,
Greg
