Hi,
I have a D830 laptop with nVidia Quadro NVS 140M.
I installed openSuse 11.1 with the nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-default and x11-video-nvidiaG02.
PROBLEM: The only wide resolution I can get is 1920x1200 (and I can barely see anything on the screen). All the other resolutions that work for me are 4/3 (1600x1200; 1400x1050, 1024x768 etc…) and since the laptop monitor is wide things look distorted.
Any idea how I can obtain 1600x1000 or 1680x1050 ?
I tried using sax (changing monitor type), krandr, nvidia-settings but to no use.
I also tried the G01 driver…but then X doesn’t start (nor sax2 -r for that matter)
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Alex
P.S. Something weird about the nVidia repository ! After I deleted G02 driver, when trying to install the G01 driver it kept saying that it cannot find the driver in the repository. After I restarted like 10 times it finally retrieved the G01 driver.
And same problem when I switched back to G02.
