problem with virtualbox 1.6.4

hi :
first, my appologies for my english.
I need some help about a problem with virtualbox.
I have OpenSuse 11.0 and i create an windows xp machine and not recognize the ethernet card.I can surf with mozilla in the host but no in the guest machine, I try with the options in virtualbox’s control panel , is configured as PcNet-PCI II(Am79C970A), NAT ,and cable conected: I change type card as PCnet-FAST III(Am79C973) but no succes , no recognize and I don’t know what happend. I have the same problem with the OpenSuse 64bits version. When i try this:
linux-hz9l:~ # lspci | grep Ethernet
3f:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5752 Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express (rev 01)
Do you have any idea about this problem? thanks in advance

If you are starting off fresh, you might as well get the latest Vbox, 2.0.

The NIC seen by the guest OS is not a physical NIC but a virtual one. So it will have nothing to do with your host NIC. There are 4 models to choose from. The pcnet32 virtual NIC should be supported in Windows, but maybe not Vista. If not try the e1000 virtual NIC.

thanks for your answer.
I try to install virtualbox 2.0 but i have many problems with dependencies. At this moment it is not urgent and i leave this question. Thanks in advance
