I get this message on a regular basis, but it goes away for awhile after i run updatedb again. I have uninstall mlocate and reinstalled it and same issue. I also tried plocate and same thing. I even deleted the database but the issue came back.
What is causing this?

Old database had different configuration block (size mismatch), ignoring.
You should start with showing the complete terminal output. Different programs use databases. So you did not even describe what you are doing, what program your are using, what the real error message is…

The program is mlocate and you update the mlocate database with updatedb, the you can use locate to find files.
The actual error is already posted. and it is the complete terminal output.
It isn’t. Complete terminal output includes all lines, starting with the ptompt command line end ending with the new prompt line. It is copied/pasted in a post using the Preformatted text button (the one looking like </>).
