Problem with Telegram 4.10.3-2.2 and QT 6.6.0

Hello,

I am using Tumbleweed. Since yesterday (15th October), after latest upgrade I have a problem with Telegram 4.10.3-2.2: it cannot start. Starting from console I get:

** (telegram-desktop:2762): WARNING **: 15:25:22.300: Unable to load patched fonts with Qt workarounds, expect font issues.
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 2
QWidget::render: Cannot render with an inactive painter
qt.svg: Error while inflating gzip file: SVG format check failed
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I tried to download and install the previous Telegram version from the repository, but unfortunately it cannot work with libQt6 6.6.0, because it requires version 6.5.3 (they were upgraded from 6.5.3 to 6.6.0 with the same upgrade). Any help? Thanks

telegram-desktop segfaults after QT6 update - openSUSE Factory - openSUSE Mailing Lists

In the meantime, you could roll back to the working snapshot.

Open up Discover, then type “telegram” in the search file and install it.
No issues here using the Flatpak.
(If you do install this, be sure to un-install the version from TW-OSS)
