I was setting up an installation server with http and slp. The http part works and I can choose to do an http install from another machine. Also, on the server, I can see the slpd running and shows the suse.install service announcement. However, I can’t see slp announcements (multicast) from other machines on the same network. Because of this, no automatic detection of the installation server is happening when I try to install the clients. Any help?
i am also experiencing the same problem but with ldap which is not registering the service
