more than 100 drivers are offered, I tried some of them, but I did not found any that worked. Somebody knows better?
It would be nice if you told us what a Samsung SCR-4200 is. I stopped googling model nrs etc years ago, takes far too much time.
Yes, left to speculate here. A printer model (SCX-4200?) supporting the SPL protocol perhaps? If so, the the splix driver may be ok…

SpliX is a set of CUPS printer drivers for SPL (Samsung Printer Language) printers. Some Samsung, Xerox and Dell printers use that language.
hi schuellerig,
The ‘SamsungPrinterInstaller.tar.gz’ is needed.
Search the internet for this file and install. It contains both printer and scanner drivers and works both for colour and mono printers.
The SCX-4200 has been used with openSUSE, up to and including Leap 42.3, for at least the last 10 years without much ado.
Install on this pc is as follows

Just to let others reading this thread know that I received a PM yesterday from the OP confirming that the splix driver was working for them. Always a good idea for those requesting help to confirm in the thread of course.
Yes, by golly, it would be awfully nice, would it not?
… definitely one of my pet peeves, using up my precious time to answer something or to ask for important details, and then no reponse or feedback about success or failure.>:)
okay, enough soapbox…
