Problem with resolution on Aspire One

Hi,

Since i installed Opensuse on my EEE pc, i have to face a lot of problems and fix them, it seems suse don’t like too much my EEEpc x)

Anyway,
i like this distro and won’t let it down, i have a little problem right now with my resolution, i can’t change it !! it sets to 800 x 600, even in the “xrandr” i have 800x600 as maximum, i want to change it to 1024 x 600 or 1024 x 768 .

i think i have a problem with my graphic driver, because i have some graphic troubles !!

i’m glad i can find help in here, thanks !

Please post result of

/sbin/lspci -nnk

Did you update the system after install?

My netbooks work fine running opensuse and most have pretty similar hardware and should run fine on the 10" screen versions.

Here is the result of /sbin/lspci -nnk

yes i have already update my system !!

I found a solution here Acer Aspire One - openSUSE the resolution is fine now, but i should login and run startx every time i start the laptop !

Tell me exactly what steps you follow to login.

Did you see the link in my last post ?

I just understood that when have modified /etc/inittab file, the system will start at level 3, that’s why i have to login everytime in a command line.

I think i will try the Opensuse 11.1 by following the instructions here: Acer Aspire One - openSUSE

Thanks !!
